curious. who on farcaster would be willing to: a) explore Mars (eg short-term visit for R&D purposes), or b) settle Mars (long-term aka lifelong visit for colonization to make humanity multi-planetary)? what would make you willing to do this? and why would you do it?

Before kids - would go if there were at least 150 people. Now - would go if ~100k+. I would be also want a way to mitigate the impacts of spending a long time in low gravity.

interesting. why 150 beforehand? and fwiw i think the radiation effects would get you much more quickly than low gravity effects ;)

I think it would get boring to spend 3+ years with a small group. (I assume the first mission would take about 3 years: ~7 months transit time each way + Earth and Mars intersect orbits every 2.2 years.) And communication back home isn't easy, due to speed of light delay of 12 to 22 minutes.
