@ebeezy.eth mentioned realtime chat based on communities while at Farcon and I got excited about leveraging farcaster channels for other uses. I made farchatter.xyz over the last couple of weeks allowing exactly that. It's a rough PoC, but let me know what you think.

Had an idea for real-time messaging Farcaster client, where all channels on Warpcast had a live chat connected to them. Similar to Discord. 

Shared the idea with @shanye at Farcon and he built it a few weeks later!

maybe in the future will use the farcaster dms once it’s decentralized but for now channels just have off chain live chats connected to them on farchatter!

Correct. It’d be cool to leverage an open protocol like xmtp for messages, but the channel/group based ecosystem isn’t really built out to support that yet
