Coffee and tea: do they prolong life? A literature review of 71 articles showed that moderate consumption of coffee and tea can be beneficial. 🔬 results: ✅ -19% risk of stroke - 3-5 cups of coffee a day reduce the likelihood of stroke. ✅ -6% risk of arrhythmia⚡️ - 300 mg of caffeine per day (approximately 3 cups) reduces the risk of atrial fibrillation. ✅ -11% risk of heart failure❤️ – 4 cups of coffee a day are associated with a reduced likelihood of heart failure. ✅ -12% risk of coronary heart disease - coffee improves vascular function, reducing the risk of coronary heart disease. ✅ -24% of deaths from all causes – moderate consumption (3-5 cups of coffee or 3 cups of green tea) is associated with a marked reduction in the risk of premature death.
