Why is microflora important? A striking example is the urolitin from pomegranates. It is a metabolite formed as a result of processing pomegranates in your intestines, but if the microflora is all right and the intestines are healthy. What is urolitin useful for? -Antioxidant activity. It helps fight oxidative stress by protecting cells from free radical damage. -Studies show that urolitin A stimulates the process of mitophagy — the purification of cells from damaged mitochondria. -has the ability to reduce inflammatory processes in the body. Pomegranates can be eaten fresh, added to salads, yoghurts or used as juice. The basis of a healthy microflora is a full-fledged diet without "garbage".

Here's the news I found. Surprised me. I have never seen such a thing in my practice. In Spain, infants develop "werewolf syndrome" after their parents take a hair growth drug. In the country, 11 cases have been recorded in newborns when the use of 5% minoxidil by parents (a drug for baldness and beard growth) caused abnormal hair growth in infants, called "werewolf syndrome". As a result, the babies had intense "hair loss" on their face, back and legs. What do you think?

Does coffee stimulate the microflora and help your health? ☕️ The researchers suggest that the positive health effects that are traditionally associated with coffee consumption are associated with the bacterium L. asaccharolyticus. 🦠 The results of the study showed that among people who regularly consume coffee, a significantly higher number of Lawsonibacter asaccharolyticus bacteria was detected. The level of these bacteria was eight times higher compared to those who do not drink coffee. This trend has been confirmed in different countries, which indicates the global nature of the phenomenon. 🧫 The microbiological mechanisms underlying coffee metabolism are a step towards determining the role of specific foods in the gut microbiome, and similar patterns of interaction between microorganisms and foods for other elements of the diet should be sought. 🏥

A good selection of breakfast foods, but I would add some more carbs. For example, oatmeal porridge or pancakes.

Myth: Is Cola zero safer for teeth? Why does caries develop? Under the influence of acids and sugar, the enamel weakens, the teeth become more vulnerable, so caries spreads faster among fans of soda with sugar. The most important myth is that sugar is a substrate for bacterial growth, so Zero is safer. So? The study of 2024 : In Vitro Effect of Streptococcus mutans Biofilm Produced in Sugar-Free Coca-Cola on Enamel Yasmin Louzon et al. Int Dent J. 2024. Various media, including 10% glucose, were compared according to the growth rate of streptococci in it. Flora showed a Zero increase commensurate with regular sugar-based cola and 25% higher than in the control group. In zero, the worst indicators of acidity were shown - PH, which also decreased lower over time (to about 3). The conclusion is that we drink more water, my friend.

Maximum Preservation of Vitamins in Food Products: A Scientific Approach to Cooking Dear friends, as a specialist with many years of experience in the field of medicine and nutrition, I want to share with you my knowledge on how to keep the maximum amount of vitamins in our dishes. Vitamins are key components that support our immune system, energy and overall health, but many of them are sensitive to heat treatment and can be destroyed during cooking. Let's figure it out. 1. Cooking: Avoid excessive cooking of vegetables. Use a minimum amount of water and try to cook over low heat. After cooking, use the rest of the water for soups or sauces — it contains vitamins washed from vegetables. 2. Steaming: one of the most gentle methods. It allows you to preserve the texture and natural flavors of products, while retaining more vitamins. 3. Microwave oven: Despite the myths, this method can save more nutrients due to the short cooking time and minimal use of water (leaching). Continued in the comments👇

I touched on the benefits of coffee. But how much caffeine and where is it contained? espresso (40 ml cup) — from 70 to 90 mg; in cappuccino (200 ml glass) — 70-80 mg; in latte or Americano (250 ml serving) — from 95 to 200 mg; in classic coffee brewed in Turkey (100 ml cup) — from 38 to 65 mg, depending on the variety and duration of preparation. Even the so—called "caffeine-free" drink usually contains residual traces of the substance - from 9 to 12 mg. Energy drinks contain more caffeine, for example: — Red Bull: 90 mg of caffeine, 1.2 g of taurine and 33 g of sugars; — Burn: 105 mg of caffeine, 300 mg of taurine and 39 g of sugars; — Monster Energy: 90 mg of caffeine, 720 mg of taurine and 36 g of sugars
