The tomb of Yaqub Laith Safari, the first Iranian prince, is located in the east of Dezful. Yaqub Laith Safari was the first to declare Persian as the official language of Iran after the arrival of Islam in Iran. He made many efforts to liberate parts of Iran from the Abbasid Caliph and finally died in the year 165 AH in the city of Jundishapur, Dezful. The tomb is a four-arched structure with a conical dome and was built during the Seljuk period.
