very small note but since Warpcast collects client-level view metrics for casts, would be cool to have a dead simple page or banner that showed me that engagement

eg. “your casts have [view count] views this month” on my profile page in a banner like this one below that X shows

why? good incentive/motivation to keep casting more! 

when I see that banner on my X account it *definitely* makes me want to keep getting more views

for sure, just brought this up as something small and lightweight warpcast could do to make more out of data they already have. certainly a lot of work to do re: all these other points so we make sure that good posts, videos, mini apps, and other content get distribution!!

This would be really cool but it’s also the reason I stopped posting certain content. The algorithm really dislikes videos. I’d get maybe 50 views on a video so I don’t post them. They are too much work for so little engagement. CBW is clearly going to fix that , but knowing how small the beta is makes me hesitate.

in theory any client could do this, but rn there’s no protocol-wide way to track cast/profile views and that’s probably for the better(would be insanely hard to do) — so unless you were to add them up each client would have their own view counts etc

I don’t really think that’s a bad thing though
