Posted this on Twitter, but I think there are pretty big misaligned incentives in funding rounds like this. These encourage folks to add as many random onchain transactions as possible, but the opposite will truly onboard the masses.

Maybe I'm just surprised that CTG wasn't one of the 200+ projects chosen (we deployed on Base and submitted) Technically, our challenges like crypto puzzles/scavenger hunts weren't onchain, and our only transactions were for the entry NFTs, but so many in the space told me CTG had outsized impact.

totally agree. it’s the ultimate problem of trying to award “fairly” and programmatically - we measure what’s easy to measure, and then what gets measured gets optimised. account abstracted transactions also got underrepresented here… the only path forward is to lobby OP delegates to change the weighting rn

yup, supercast also wouldn’t qualify defi projects with washed volume, token incentives and venture funding of course did
