At Pedra da Gávea, in Rio de Janeiro, there is a Phoenician inscription that says "Tyro Phoenicia, Badezir, Firstborn of Jetbaal". There existed in the year 856 before Christ, a Phoenician King called Badezir, who according to the first translation replaced and succeeded King Jethbaal, his father, on the royal throne of Tyro.
