That said, is the use case a misclick of cancel the editor and you want to return to the cast being composed?

In my case it was indeed a misclick and I wanted to return to the editor

if you click and drag to select text in the compose and release the click outside of the compose window, it spawns this dialog. also unlike twitter clicking the background does not dismiss the dialog and instead effectively clicks discard
