any thoughts on Threads product laddering off of Instagram’s social graph to drive ActivityPub instead of embedding into Instagram itself?

seems like a political fumble.

I’ve increased my chance of success for Threads slightly recently. Still seems like Meta is investing in it and they are experimenting with actual ActivityPub integration. Still think the most likely outcome is folded into Instagram proper as text posts.
