Is the Dems GOP-lite winning? No. They lose again and again. Meanwhile no one can say how a leftist would do in a fair US election because we haven't tried having a fair election with a leftist candidate participating.

A more left candidate is not going to win. Has to move to the center on the core issues (esp. economy and immigration)

Hard to say. It could be very effective depending on which district we are talking about.
