The problem we are trying to solve for is getting more casts into channels.

Do you see this as a temporary bootstrapping strategy until we get to Twitter scale (ie. tests one way off reading the discord/ Reddit thesis diagram). 

I do appreciate that if WC goes too hard on channels I can always use another client.

We need to find a way to sustainably grow DAU for the protocol. Channels is our most promising primitive right now.

I’d love for another app / developer to come up with a new primitive but can’t count on that happening.

Best we can do: deliver on protocol credible neutrality and grow Warpcast DAU.

It’s atm like a cross between hashtags and subreddits, much (much) closer to hashtags. Lots of decisions to be made and optimized for depending on which branch you decide to take. Or maybe a 3rd path. Curious to see how it goes from here!
