if you were in charge, what would you do differently with channels?

i'm not a great systems thinker when it come to this kind of stuff but a basic UX change that would be helpful is putting the cast button closer to where the convo happens, or just having an already empty box below the description waiting to be cast in. it's not immediately clear to me that i'm allowed to cast in a channel until i find the button and that's just enough friction that i might move on, not super cozy.
