It's an egg pricker, makes a hole in the shell so that, when boiled - air goes out and the egg expands to fill entire shell, making perfect round eggs without the classic air pocket - they're easier to peel - prevents cracking (but that's rare)

Makes a tiny hole in the egg before boiling it, so the shell doesn't crack during said boiling.
