50% of people think tips are spammy sometimes. 10% always. Wonder if there is a better convention that allows Farcaster clients to better classify / collapse tips into a more useful UX for those that want to see them and hidden for those that don't want them. Parsing $[token] replies with some regexes could work but a bit naive.

In protocol tipping? Could be as simple as adding a new optional field to the cast object so that a cast can also contain a tip.

The challenge is a tip + "Nice" is still a low quality reply most of the time for some group of people.

Yeah good point. I think an issue hear is that tipping and casting are tied, so sometimes you get tip + "nice" and other times you get tip + quality response. Maybe separating them out can help here so that tips work more like gifting warps. Downside is that cast + tip being combined is a really cool concept.

One of the most annoying things (even as someone who voted NO) re: tipping is getting a tip in a convo then realising it isn’t for you but someone else in the convo.

Tip actions? Hide tip actions? I would think that machine learning algos (or whatever the code is.. if you will ) would eventually tailor casts to not seeing so many tips.
