do you have any plans on changing the power badge system/algo in the future? I see a lot of people complaining about it now and personally I think it could make new users not want to continue using the app. Keep up the great work though, the app cannot be perfect but progress is a necessity❤️

I'd like it to be based on the actual content people share, instead of how much engagement they get. @botornot actually does a good job of telling the difference between garbage posters who get a lot of engagement vs good casters who fly under the radar because they're new to the space.

The power badge and how it's earned is not the real problem. It's that Priority mode is set to use PBs as the metric for priority which makes non-PBU posts pushed so far down in the queue for popular channels or reply threads as to be invisible. Because it's not earned for post quality, it's a bad metric for priority.

Personally I think opening it up to more people would be a good idea. I see a lot of people losing their power badge( @downshift.eth ) for an example. He is building products for the app and is being punished it seems like. Mostly it just feels like a lot of people are getting left out.🫡

If you saw my timeline you’d understand why it needs amending. People w/ PB get enhanced engagement, use that to get larger tip allowances, use tip allowances to farm more engagement…rinse repeat. My entire timeline is ham cannons mostly. Meanwhile an actual human like me is shadow banned.

When there are more real "new users" without a power badge and power badge holders don't want to engage with non badge holders it's an issue I'm sure there are better ways of sorting bot / spam casts without the power badge model? Is the badge needed and what is the core purpose? Is it currently achieving this? 🙏
