Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, Snap went years without having a non-mobile sign up path.

Fair point but a lot of crypto people use desktop at a higher rate than the average person If crypto people are still the main growth target then it seems like enabling a desktop sign-up path could onboard more people

All of those crypto people use Telegram, Signal, WhatsApp. You have to sign up and use your phone.

People use those apps *despite* them requiring mobile signup, not because of it. Also, those are all messaging apps, which have a lot less of a use case on desktop than a social network like farcaster.

True and I see your point here. I agree with product led growth like you’ve championed. I guess I’m curious what’s the benefit of only allowing sign up on mobile? My larger point is that I’m advocating for more ways to onboard onto Farcaster
