Listened to interview over the weekend. First time it really hit me how difficult Mars is. 5 million tons to space to get ~1 million tons usable. 150 tons per Starship You would need 10 launches per day * 365 days * 10 years to get there. Crazy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pm7TyQs5Adc

this is my main gripe with focusing on Earth <-> Mars flow of mass. it's the path of max resistance compared to capitalizing on microgravity mass. but not my horse in the race, I wish him the best of luck. and launching SHLVs is worthwhile on its own.
