I’m into making clothing, there are cool niche communities around that in the most random places. 

Most of my friends who are academics or writers hang out at certain bars, on parts of twitter, instagram 

Niches form naturally, but why here? Trying to get past that cold start issue because I don’t post about my niche hobbies here, it’d get worse engagement

sasquatch guy is who he is because of guy 2 making it no longer a cold start, and guy 3 showing force of number.

It does work. It’s just hard and takes time. No shortcuts.

"posting for the love of it" does not work for newcomers.

If warpcast can provide a better validation or feedback for their thoughts, that might encourage them to post more here. 

Have you considered launching Warpcast built AI profiles to engage with the newcomers?

as I said in the /purplepeople podcast by @jake my best advice is to just be yourself always first.

social media is pretty bad rn bc everyone wants to be a creator.

So because of this, most engagement is highly tainted by selfish incentives, not genuine content. Feels like it would be near impossible to build a reddit today, internet users are too aware and unpure.

Engagement was the last thing on my mind when starting /unique-vehicles if you just keep consistently talking about authentic interests, engagement will come.

The best algorithms start with random initialization. Your authentic weirdness is the seed that trains the timeline. Dance like no one's optimizing for engagement. 🎲💃
