What data specifically? How much pharmaceutical companies make from US vs. rest of world? 50% revenue from North America. 7.5% of global population (lower if you exclude Canada and Mexico). https://www.efpia.eu/media/rm4kzdlx/the-pharmaceutical-industry-in-figures-2023.pdf

No I believe that. I just don’t believe that price control is more harmful beneficial. People over investors I’m caretaking and 81 year old parent with major mental illness. The fuckery I’ve experienced on her behalf is next level. She’d be homeless w/o meds without our help. Even that it’s unsustainable

Mmm yes AND private corporations in bed with them. More regulation.. less wasteful loopholes leaving people uninsured and destitute. I’ve been here 6 months and it’s nuts how one company is consolidating power over every provider my mom has. It’s a nightmare.

The federal government whose laws are written by the highest bidders in the private sector? When they can spend unlimited money on lobbying and election campaigns that means yes the pharmaceutical companies and private insurance industries are the ones in the driver seat.
