Haven't used a v1 frame in a while. 
I think both standards should exist  
v1 is the real 'in-feed' experience

we are going to bring the best of v1 to v2 and rename them mini apps

Builds things.

regular app is a thing that you download on your phone

apple has strong opinions about calling things apps

if it is a mini app, what is the regular app?

some additional color: 
I just think it makes sense that if I come to farcaster, it’s like going to apple, google, etc and going to their app stores.   I should go to farcaster’s app store to download farcaster apps, not mini apps
