For developers Looking for feedback on Sign in with Farcaster. Besides support for other clients like Supercast and Herocast, what’s the biggest pain point? What’s confusing? What do you wish existed? The more specific, the better.

if you mean the auth kit library, a) being able to style the button more easily and b) having a function in the react hook to open the modal (so i can use a custom button but not a custom modal)

First thing that comes to mind is web support If we move to scoped signers where signers have different permissions we could have a sign in only signer for web that lives in your browser to not be limited by the phone Or allow any app with signer to sign you in. E.g. neynar via API

Firm distinction between Sign In With Farcaster and Connect With Farcaster - at least a note somewhere telling integrators: Sign In W/ -> no cost sign in, read only privileges, Connect W/ -> pay 10 warps or so and assign a signer. Other than that, everything works nicely.

I hate when the only option to sign in thru the web is QR. Can we have emails and passwords rolled out so even when we don't have our phones, we can still sign in using Farcaster 🤔

The first button you see after signing in with Warpcast is “Return to Warpcast” but this doesn’t make sense because you come from another app TO Warpcast to sign in, so it should say “return to app” or something.

I understand desktop doesn’t appear interesting to you because most Warpcast DAU is mobile, but desktop sign in is important for other tools (e.g. work tools that sit on top of farcaster identity). Desktop sign in flow is weak: 1. Requires phone to sign in 2. Long wait times 3. Frequent failures 4. “Is it warpcast or farcaster?”

suggestion: allow signin and giving signer privilege at the same time so user wont have to sign two different messages. also: the need for warps/usdc/eth to add an app as a signer is big friction point

Honestly trying to use the old-style QR code with @airstack.eth took me a dozen times. Thank you for fixing it on Warpcast. Maybe an alt “magic link” option to the email provided would help.

On mobile after signing in there is the button "return to warpcast" but I feel like it would make more sense to have that button close or redirect to the previous app similar to how you sign with a mobile wallet. You typically wouldn't want to just return to the feed if you're signing into another app

I was able to access it on my mobile phone when I connected with QR, but now it goes to "Run" on Google Play, so when I press that button, the login screen doesn't appear.. So I can't access it. Do you understand?

QR was really convenient, but one day, when I logged in with QR, WARCAST should run, but sometimes it doesn't.. It wasn't like that before.. So now I log in with email, which is a hassle.
