Talked about this a couple of times this summer. LA was already film-distorted before ZIRP but after became the worst extremes of the policy. Imo a big part of this is studios are unwilling to take a chance on new productions. Would rather bid up live sports, conjure up new (or rebooted) reality shows, etc. Makes for an annoying, expensive, and fragmented experience
