Self-custody prevents remote seizure, but does not solve for physical seizure. Any world where you are worried about remote seizure, the risk of physical seizure will likely increase as well.

AA, Multisigs, and timelocks solve this. Putting a gun to my head today wouldn’t be enough to get a large majority of my self-custodied assets 

Would need to take me hostage to really get it, with a delay and a sophisticated op. 

Feels like any of the big exchanges are more likely to get hacked than that

What if they throw you in jail until you give it up?

Number of people who can do that is way smaller than $5 wrench owners and even exchange hackers
