channel hosts to off-topic casts this weekend after getting hide and ban

i think transparency around hidden casts is important and people should be notified somehow if their cast is hidden, right now even the label stays on the cast, and there’s no way to tell

It will just make people mad and harass hosts. It’s only on Warpcast and people are free to:

- cast to their followers (not in a channel)

- create a new channel

- use another client

You won’t. It won’t get engagement. So you probably won’t post there.

20% of people would be open to feedback; 80% would just be pissed.

Again, if you think a bad policy another client could adopt the notification. Beauty of a protocol based social network.

but how will i know? if i post a meme that’s too nsfw in the meme channel for the host’s taste and it gets hidden how do i know i did something wrong at all or should create my own channel?

I would suggest options then. 
- shadow-hide
or
- give them a reason

some of us deal with a lot of censorship so transparency in this is highly valued so we know where we stand. While some people may get mad also some people may get even madder or have intense anxiety thinking they are connecting with a group of people but not. Transparency is a core ethos of decentralization.
