There's rich, and rich. Would be interesting to see a more granular breakdown by tranches for the $+100k. Depending on where u live, $100k in the US is absolutely not rich. Middle class, at best...

Living in an expensive location is a choice. Plenty of places in the US where you can make $100K and be rich.

Not necessarily. Not everyone can work remotely, or find jobs meeting his/her qualifications in affordable areas. Also, even if 100% of ppl earning 100k~300k were voting for the dems, but 100% of ppl earning 300k+ were voting reps, I would still call reps the party of the richs, and not the dems. That's why tranches matter. +100k, as a tranche, is irrelevant.
