My most midwit book opinion is that Yuval Noah Harari books are good. He is a talented synthesizer of information and he gives the reader some basic narratives that stick to the mind. If one were to fully internalize his hyper-materialist technological worldview I think that would be a mistake, but you should never read anything uncritically. I find his books are entertaining, harmless, and reasonably useful. Irrelevant to my assessment but he also seems to be a nice guy.
