With the recent changes to @warpcast channels and discussion around moving towards decentralization and the @farcaster protocol layer, I asked a top builder at a @devcon side event how they'd structure channels. They said they'd connect channels to @ensdomains rather than attempting to reinvent namespaces and ownership. Makes sense to me.

I think adding ENS as an option is nice. But most good names are taken. Which would reduce new channel creation.

This is where subdomains could be useful where subdomains with better "quality scores" elevated to the top of discoverability based on the channels quality use of. In this "free market approach" I could own bangkok.eth and /bangkok channel but I'm a bad steward of it and there's not much activity there. You start /bangkok-dwr which is really a subdomain on the backend bangkok.dwr.eth with many of users and daily quality posts. Clients like @warpcast would decide to make /bangkok-dwr more discoverable in search and other features.

Curious how you see the future of ENS as part of FC now that it's building its own L2 Eth, Optimism, Namechain... are things getting too fragmented?
