yea, years of trolling by foreign state be it online or physical, now we're seeing the effects of it pushing the state to more policing. china just wants to prove that the west, despite its love for freedom, can fall and become authoritarian too.

To be fair. The low-IQ morons spending long jail sentences for stepping into the Capitol could have used a friendly warning to think about long-term consequences as well It seems like it's the same demographic getting sent to jail in the UK for calling for arson, and other incitement that's illegal everywhere(?)
