1/ For the Farcaster OGs who feel a little disoriented with the influx of new people—I do too! I'm optimistic that the growth will be net good, but we're certainly going to have our growing pains over the next few weeks. Appreciate both feedback and patience. My DCs are open. :)

2/ And remember, the focus on growing DAU is because it benefits protocol developers. A cozy group chat feel doesn't allow a 1000 apps and services to flourish. So a tough but probably correct trade-off.

It's crazy just looking at the growth in the last 2 months. It's so evident especially when I went on a hiatus for 2 months. I still remember I could scroll the timeline and finish reading all the casts made in the day, glad there's more variety now and perhaps now the algo works.

Idk it’d be kinda based to spend the time/effort you have on FC with the end vision being simply a custom-built groupchat for 1k people. 😂

Yes! This is natural. The goal can’t be for every cast and day on farcaster to feel like a small group of early adopters. The net good that will come out of pilling the masses on protocol-client, connected address, ability to exit, etc. is worth temporary periods of noise
