tea is much faster than brew and works quite well, if anyone is feeling adventurous :)
It's not yet full brew replacement as it lacks coverage for more esoteric packages.

It would be fun to try to help him with the governance because last time they had a fuzzy approach

Yeah, I've been playing around with it a bit and tea is pretty interesting but feels like a lot of magic and not like a typical package manager. I don't know if this is a good thing or bad thing. Important context that biases me: I'm a nix user and have contributed to nixpkgs.
