my unsolicited 2 cents is that farcaster feels and is a tight nit community, rather than a network that's a good thing, but also a bad thing for the network? maybe? every time i open up warpcast, every cast is either referencing some new "iykyk" meta, or about crypto and as someone who isnt as interested in crypto as i used to be, i use fc less, because fc casts are very crypto/meta heavy, and if you dont know the meta, you're out of the loop if i had to ask Dan one question, it would be if he see's this as a positive or a negative, does Dan want casts to very crypto centric or more broad/different topics?

Of course I would like more people talking about more topics. Challenge is you can’t really grow by going broad. Need to go deep and then expand.

o i see, ill post more about building in public here and try to foster that community :) maybe fc needs more people creating new convos/topics btw love that u hired ted/woj/linda, very good move, and i mean this when i say this, youre one of the best founders ive interacted with, i (we) can tell you really care and are pushing the needle for making fc better, i really appreciate what youre doing abd the time and effort you put into fc, we love you

But it’s almost like walking a tight rope New users find themselves not getting responses or end up getting marked spam (some poster users told us on X about their experience here when we tried to get them to be active here) And I agree the iykyk meta is goes too hard and if I miss a day of keeping up I start feeling left out

Needs to have a different meta than X, not compete for content. If Farcaster is integrating with coinbase/cb wallet, then the focus should be connected to their current and future offering for growth.

If we do share a narrow set of common interests maybe it's adjacent fields, tech, not just topical ai etc. Fundamentally; Decentralisation, autonomous irl organisations, earning money without financing corporations, co-ops privacy, empowering the disenfranchised, worldwide human connection, philosophy, aesthetics
