Just PSA that it's ok to build tools to make web user's lives easier. I simply offered a potential solution to an already acknowledged problem of not being able to SIWF without a phone on web. The fact that "most farcaster users are on mobile" is irrelevant to that.

I think our web app is pretty good. :) 1. Having people import a seed phrase into an untrusted Chrome extension is bad security. 2. We'd like to figure out a way to make web SIWF smoother / not require a phone, but it's a bunch of work and relative to all of our other priorities—and since 85% of usage is mobile—probably not worth prioritizing right now.

Not sure where I implied anything negative about your web app, that's mainly what I use? I know it's not your priority that's why I didn't suggest anything for you guys to do, and rather suggested something not dependent on you. Whether it's trusted or not depends on the actual extension that doesn't even exist yet so getting ahead of ourselves here. If I/Rainbow/someone else built an open source version of it, I would hope you wouldn't immediately brand us as untrusted.

Fair. I guess I'm trying to avoid fragmenting the UX if we end up changing SIWF to make it easier for web. Realize my initial response came off as dismissive / curt. Sorry about that. I should taken the time to provide more thinking from my end. Anyways, you or anyone else should build it if interesting.
