Thanks. Not sure how it works now but it seems the “crypto native” would be to instead of having mods you’d allow anyone join at a generic token cost, but with a decreasing bonding curve so that the earlier you joined the lower the “cost” for that community token points.

And then whenever you posted it would stake some of your community tokens that other members would like that post. If it got downvoted then you’d lose the points. Basically a tiny prediction market for each post, predicting if the community would like it.

Re: token gating There are a bunch of channels that do that today. The system is pretty configurable. A couple other thoughts: 1. Spammers have higher willingness to pay than casual users 2. If every channel cost money to join, people would complain about that. (We tried that version earlier this year.)
