Warpcast is missing a great opportunity in becoming compatible with atproto

Makerdao used to be one of the most important players in the space and DAI one of the most innovative coins. Now the replacements, “savings Usds” doesn’t even have live price info on etherscan. On my Safe it’s listed together with all the $0 worth coins they don’t bother to fetch the price.

Today in 2015, ERC26 was published: Default Ethereum Name Registrar. It wasn’t the first, Gav already had published Namereg contract. And it wasn’t the last: it tried too much in the same contract, a name registrar, an auction contract, an election contract, all in one package. Fortunately later Nick would publish a much more simple and elegant solution which would eventually become ENS. https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/issues/26

🎶 should I stay or should I go? If I go there will be trouble, If I stay there will be double 🎶 Seems you’ve already your damn question isn’t it? Math is easy on this one.

Your pothead friend who spent all his money on Silk Road has probably contributed more to the US treasury than all your taxes in the last 15 years combined.

My building’s intercom just required me to sign a binding contract before I could open the door. Modernity was a mistake.

This is cool but I wonder if giving a reward in some governance token would be a better use case. So the upside is variable and associated with the success of Warpcast as a whole, as well as lower cost to Warpcast.

The stark contrast between polls and polymarket is interesting. Either polls are completely off and liberals will be shocked they live in a different reality or polymarket is wrong and trump supporters will lose a lot of money. It would be funny if it wasn’t real.

Bad news like minded hoarders: I’ve reached to my little junk box and found that one cord to power back the backup router which just saved the day. I guess I’m not throwing anything away for another ten years.

After years of delays I had almost forgotten about ledger Staxx. I’m glad I didn’t though because I received mine today and ITS THE CUTEST GADGET EVER. I haven’t even set it up yet and I am already in love. Last time I felt this way was unboxing the iPod nano. Whatever ledger paid Tony Fadell, it wasn’t enough.

What happens if you have an integer made of infinitely repeating 9s and then you add 1? You get infinite 0s, and a 1 that is carried until.. never? There’s no beginning to the number so, just as 1-0.9999.. is exactly 0 (not “almost 0”) then …9999 + 1 is also 0. Reality has integer overflows. 🤯

If most search results are just chatGPT generated blog posts, why use google at all? If most products on Amazon are print on demand DALL-E stuff then why go to Amazon? If most social media are bots then why not just talk to bots? We might be deleting back the whole internet and replacing it with just interacting with a zipped snapshot of material written until 2019.

This might be one of the coolest things I’ve worked on as a DAO steward this year and I think every DAO should fork it. This should be the new gold standard of transparent governance everywhere (including governments). https://discuss.ens.domains/t/introducing-ens-open-ledger/19731

In an alternate timeline in which the Roman emperors didn’t funk up this perfectly fine calendar, the Gregorian reform would be just adding an extra one extra weekend every 8 years.

People in the 2040’s will one day be posting these early generated AI arts as the vintage “2020’s style” throwback parties. Supposing people still party then.

Since the dumb membership update now I’m stuck posting on geopolitics. Apparently I’m not a member neither of ENS or Ethereum, or any other group.

Twitter is still blocked in Brazil but I do for some reason get notifications about dms (and for some reason, Elon’s jokes). I was already cleaning myself out of it anyway. If you want to reach me, don’t bother there: contact me here or Bluesky (avsa.eth.limo)

This is my presentation given on Bridges Conference 2024. How to make the "impossible map", a world map like you've never seen before. https://mirror.xyz/avsa.eth/DIkcydMtapf4F2PNuLBsj5O-K-7VcG6FwSpUb_2uP-8

A while back I read about a new physics paper on how everything could be connected in a single log log chart of mass and size. Once I read it I knew I had to make a poster out of it. And once I did that I decided to sell it online. So here it is, please check it out and read the post about it: https://www.tally.xyz/gov/ens/proposal/76312276134880424811339391717815330375652916610982980144903695563372140531115
