Never watched any rugby 🏉 matches so not sure about them but watched every cricket 🏏 world cup matches in both categories: ~>20 Overs(Twenty 20) :- Every 2 Years. ~>50 Overs (One Day international) :- Every 4 Years.

Essentially yes, cricket got their first starting in 1975, rugby in 1987. The only time they were off was 1992 and 1996.
