What happens to a channel if the moderation tool you used for months or years decides to completely shut down?

I'd suggest getting a dedicated channel bot (if one of the tools will allow for that). Can always run a script or another account that mirrors all the likes and then you could switch over.

I can't seem to shake off this framing: An open protocol doesn't easily allow for restricting access, as by default, everyone can read every cast on Farcaster. If you truly want to own and control your community on a decentralized protocol, building your own client seems to be the best approach.
