I understand that art is subjective but for starters, popular accounts are popular for a reason. You could also have a council to decide if you want to keep building with artists. I would happily be a part of that and could recommend other artists whose voices I value too.

Any bit helps. TBH this whole meta of free mints hurts artists. Grants for creatives who are builders too art and building creators up helps to proliferate more beauty in the world.

While grants to artists have their own merit, a model targeting the entire art ecosystem would have a much more holistic impact, not only on the art ecosystem but also for fc in general. Rather than smaller individual grants, have larger chunks for “teams”. One flavor could be: One curator, binding 5-10 artists through a thematic curation, hosted in a digital gallery with emphasis on storytelling. Everyone involved (curator, artists, gallerist) shares the grant. - stories make for great content - spurs collaboration and cross-pollination - great way to differentiate and attract more curators and artists to fc - spurs conversation around the theme and subjects etc. - great opportunity for audio spaces Thanks for the tag @angelikakollin @reneecampbell @manuwilliams 🫡

Instead of individual artists it could also be a grant for curators whose mission it is to elevate artists from all genres like @pkok is spearheading for example. It could help attract more artists to join Farcaster and help this community grow.
