Might be a huge oversimplification but isn't this just because of how risky the average person thinks nuclear energy is + women being generally more risk averse? idk

Women tend to carry heavier emotional memories, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's something like Three Mile Island and the absolute horror show of public communication. I think women and children were the ones who evacuated Maybe less involved in science and a scary thing to not understand. But women are also more forgiving, so idk

When a survey shows something odd/fishy, my intuition is to blame the survey methodology or respondent set rather than draw strong conclusions from it. Women tend to attend post-secondary education at higher rates than men, so the 2nd set of bars doesn't agree with the first.
