Should I raise with a memecoin?

I think a meme coin to get a proof of concept up and running for a solo dev could be a phenomenal experiment. But a true raise should stay far far away. Traders are looking to flip coins as quickly as possible for profit. Investors are looking at a much longer rime horizon. Two very different beasts.

Excellent point. I wonder if that will change. I remember when VCs were anti crowdfund on cap tables and now, especially for CPG companies, it’s not necessarily a negative signal. I think we are probably pretty far away from meme coins being seen the same way but I could see it in a few years as a positive sign as a founder ability to turn users into stakeholders.
