Change is good, imo...

...but trivial to build a client that filters on FID.

Stated vs. revealed preference might be different, though :)

yeah not necessarily a negative change, but a change nonetheless

i dont think my personal stated pref is fid filtering either, much of the fun of social networks is discovering new people

All that's needed is a way of tracking positive reputation. Low FID is a very rough proxy to start. I think clients that support filtering on reputation will go far.
