Thrilled to announce that Farcaster will be moving to OP Mainnet.

Many of you building on the OP Stack across OP Mainnet, Base and Zora. We’re also excited about Optimism’s strong commitment to open source and OP Mainnet identity initiatives like EAS.

We’re planning to migrate the Farcaster identity and storage contracts to OP Mainnet in the coming weeks. 

After we've successfully migrated, we plan to enable permissionless sign ups.

(We had talked about this on the bi-weekly dev calls but first time announcing it more broadly.)

oh man. permissionless signups make me nervous even tho it's an obvious necessity. is there any plan to combat bots and scams? twitter is an absolute dumpster fire now with how many "2/2" etc replies there are on every semi interesting post
