1. Last week, we previewed the upcoming channel changes

2. We want to ensure that existing channels have a set of members on Day 1

3. We’re proposing automatically converting active followers → members for channels.

4. We’re optimizing for something straightforward and pragmatic, not perfect.

5. We’re looking for feedback on this proposal.

Would be nice to be able to individually remove members from the preview list before the changes go live

Would be nice, but a bunch of work for something you can do on Day 1. They won't get a notification that they were removed.
