The biggest change to existing channels:

1. We're getting rid of Trending — you can either have no moderator and have the Main feed in a channel be priority mode (i.e. unique for each user) or take control of the channel and use an @automod type tool to create a custom algo

2. Channel passes and warn / hide / ban will go away. Again, you either opt for no moderation and Warpcast will default to priority mode or turn on moderation and have more granular control over what is in the main feed.

It's super simple: if you have moderation on, the user that is set as the moderator (at the protocol level), whatever casts in the channel they like is the canonical channel feed.

and with the moderation path, that's protocol level?

from the user side, will we be able choose if we want to see priority mode or the custom algo?
