Why doesn't Etheruem have $0 gas fees?

- ICO to raise funds towards a treasury for operations, r&d, signup costs, making it easier to you guys to keep doing your thing
- Staking for certain benefits in the protocol i.e. reduced or free storage fees
- Smaller benefit - visibility and get 10x more eyes on Farcaster

1. ICOs are not legal in the US
2. So you would buy a token to get a discount on a storage fee? Where does the token money go? Isn't that just a storage fee with multiple steps?

How much do you think Farcaster could raise if it crowdfunded?

No, I would buy hella Farcaster tokens because a) I love the platform and b) for the potential utility. People buy stocks of companies they love and support. It is not different on web3 e.g. memecoins
