1) Suboptimal from a vibes/ethos standpoint

2) Signals somewhat of a desperation i.e., needing the price to go up AND it not going up

yeah no pushback from me on permissionless burning

just not fully comfortable with:

- making it an official mechanism  somehow (in case someone in the core is thinking of going in that direction)

- all of us cheering it to a point that it becomes a prominent narrative for higher... bad optics/vibes imo :)
