wait, this is narrative violation isn't it? genuine question: it's been the case that people add "reddit" to their Google searches when researching things especially products and services? had you ever done this? when did reddit become a countersignal and why precisely? v curious

for social issues reddit is often a counter signal for me. for products etc it’s still decent. depends tho, there’s a lottt of subreddits.

imho the thing with Reddit is that specialized subreddits are the best source of information you can get for the respective topic, while the more generic ones like /r/pics and of course /r/all are just pure brainwashing trash
