We need a notion like “seduction resistant” to complement “censorship resistant.” A protocol is seduction-resistant to adversarial efforts to seduce participants with a level of convenience, frictionlessness, and low-level payoff streams (think credit card cash backs, not bribes, a function of interest rates and indefinitely sustainable) that you can’t easily match. This is actually the Orwell vs Huxley conundrum in disguise. You guard against overt coercion and control but what gets you is being overwhelmed by noise. There’s nothing to fight. Great illustration: Aster8x and the Mansions of the Gods. The closest Caesar ever came to defeating Aster8x and the small Gaulish village.

True, but I mean where might it be seduced? Patience is low among participants and you see more talk of prioritizing convenience at the expense of native logic/infrastructure
