Is there any other reason you think FC isn't suited for deep discussion other than cast length limit?

discourse is just a whole other vibe. it’s not meant for quick consumption and pot shot relies like a microblogging medium

“stop using what’s already working and try our half assed competitor” is not a compelling onboarding pitch https://warpcast.com/nicholas/0xdd3f4e54

I didn't have a strong opinion on this in either direction. Was just trying to play with the ideas. You're right though, at least in the short term, with folks who already use Discourse. I'm just not sure that an FC Discourse-like client has no chance at being better than Discourse in the long term. But there's another cohort that might enjoy an FC client even in the short to medium term: Those who've never used Discourse but have a latent need for a space to have deep discussion.

Yes agreed. There's room for experimentation. Appreciate your dreaming My OP was in reference to a specific approach to grow Farcaster by appealing to communities that would be great to have on FC. It's so easy to say "we could rebuild that on FC" but so hard to actually convince users who are happy with a piece of sw that ain't broke to switch. Even FC users mostly want warpcast for generic client for now. Do Discourse communities actually want such a client? I think once they're publishing here then there will be more demand for shifting more activity here. Opening a new space for communities (what we need most) to use FC without having to "use this MVP FC client instead of the decade old sw that already works for you"
