One medical use of wild animals is the development of new medicines and treatments. Many wild animals, such as: 1. Snakes (venom used to develop painkillers and blood thinners) 2. Frogs (skin secretions used to develop antibiotics and painkillers) 3. Sharks (cartilage used to develop cancer treatments) 4. Bears (gallbladders used to develop treatments for liver disease) 5. Scorpions (venom used to develop painkillers and immunosuppressants) have evolved unique biological compounds that can be used to develop new medicines and treatments for various human diseases. Scientists study these animals and their biological compounds to develop new drugs, treatments, and therapies that can improve human health and save lives. This field of research is known as zoopharmacognosy or animal-derived medicine.
